Felipe Gallon is completely crazy about fruit! But the founder of Solo Fruit was able to turn his interest into a truly innovative product. Solo Fruit’s gourmet 100% fruit sorbets are smooth and tasty, even though they contain no water or sugar. And what’s more, everyone can enjoy them: they’re free of gluten, eggs, nuts, and peanuts. Solo Fruit also uses organic products (verified and certified by Ecocert) and promotes fair trade. Particular attention has been paid to packaging, which is pyramid-shaped. Created exclusively by Solo Fruit, the packaging allows for a unique presentation of the sorbet when it is unmolded. It is also reusable and is microwave and dishwasher safe. These unique features have brought recognition to Solo Fruit at the 2010 Salon International de l’Alimentation (SIAL). The firm was awarded the Grand Prize for Innovation and Trends, for the high quality of its sorbets. Buoyed by its success in four Canadian provinces, Solo Fruit has now set its sights on the American market.
